“Forward in Christ.”
Scripture Text: John 15:5, 8, 16 & 26
The Lord Jesus expects all believers to be fruitful in Christian character and service. He says,
“You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide….” (John 15:16 ESV).
It involves continuing personal growth, and making an influence and impact on others, not regressing, that is, intentionally move forward in life in good times and persevere in bad times. Even when we fail, we must fail forward.
The Lord Jesus also says that we must constantly abide in Him to be fruitful,
“I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in Me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing” (John 15:5 ESV)
He has also given us His Holy Spirit to grow in our fruitfulness (v.26) that His Father be glorified (v.8). That calls us to make time to be with the Lord Jesus in personal communion and to look to Him for truth, grace, and wisdom constantly and intentionally.

Have you heard the Good News?
What is the Good News?
God created human beings perfect for harmonious relationships with Him and also among ourselves. But we disobey and sin against God Who is holy. As a result the holy God demands that all who sin will perish eternally. Human relationships have also been troubled with conflicts, fears and anxieties.
We have been trying to find favour with God through good works, good behaviour, and religious rituals. Despite of the efforts, we can never be good enough to meet God’s standard of holiness.
The Good News is God loves us. Despite of our sins and inability, He sent His one and only Son, Jesus Christ to die for our sins and take our punishment of eternal death. So that everyone who believes in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour will be given eternal life. The believer will experience the peace, love and joy of God and become a better person as he learns to submit his life to Jesus every day and be a blessing to others.
Do you want to escape eternal death and forever separated from God and experience the peace, love, and joy of God now?
Do you want to be a better person to bless others?
If your answers are “Yes”, you may receive Jesus Christ as your Lord & Saviour by saying the prayer below:
“Lord Jesus, I admit and confess that I am a sinner. Thank you for dying on the cross for my sin. Please forgive me my sin. I now receive You as my Lord and Saviour. Please come into my life. Thank you for the eternal life, and Your blessings on me. Please make me a better person to bless others. In Your Name, Lord Jesus, I pray. Amen!”
Congratulations! Now that you have received Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour, expect some positive changes in your life. In order for you to grow in your faith in Jesus Christ, it is important for you to do the following:
- Read the Bible daily, to learn what God is saying to you. Get a hard copy Bible from a Christian book shop, or a soft copy in your smartphone. (you may use the NIV or NLT version.)
- Talk to God daily in prayer. He would want to hear from you always.
- Be connected with fellow believers. Join a church and attend Sunday services or any of their gatherings to learn more about Jesus
- Share with someone the Good News you have received.
May God bless you in your walk with Him.
